PSNI Accused of Domestic Abuse Nearly 50 times in the Last 2 years – Just 1 Dismissal

There were almost 50 domestic abuse accusations against PSNI officers in the last two years – but just a single dismissal and 17 incidents when no further action was taken.

The allegations include physical abuse, coercive control, harassment and sexual abuse and were made against officers from constable to superintendent rank.

Physical abuse was the largest category with 11 complaints. Six complaints involved both physical abuse and coercive control.

The broader statistics involving the PSNI are well known, from wholesale stop & searches of one community, to targeting Catholics for arrest twice as many times as Protestants, theft, bigotry and abuse.

The only alternative is the complete disbandment of the PSNI and its replacement with a service not controlled by Stormont, Westminster or state security agencies – this can only happen in a Socialist Republic.
