Imperialism

Regardless of the Good Friday Agreement or its subsequent revisions, occupation and imperialism in Ireland continues. Our campaigns aim to highlight that occupation, alongside those individuals and businesses complicit in it, as well as standing with oppressed peoples across the globe suffering at the hands of imperialist states.

Palestine Solidarity

Highlighting the ongoing occupation and genocide in Palestine. From our campaign to create and expand ‘Israeli Goods Free Zones’ in Ireland, and organising solidarity actions, Lasair Dhearg stands with the Palestinian people and their right to resist. We believe in a ‘one state solution’: Palestine, free, from the river to the sea.

Stormont Can't Deliver

A Socialist Republic can not be gained via Stormont or other British state institutions. When it comes to that and all other issues, the health crisis, poverty, the ‘cost of living crisis’, housing and more, Stormont Can’t Deliver!

25 Years of the Good Friday Agreement

The Good Friday Agreement is not the historic triumph it is made out to be but a strategic tool of British imperialism and neoliberal capitalism. It entrenched social inequality, normalised British policing, and betrayed core Republican positions, ultimately failing working-class communities across the Six Counties.

Cost of Living Crisis

The capitalist economic system, which is shaped by imperialism and neoliberal policies, has led to the systematic impoverishment of working-class communities, particularly in the context of rising inflation, fuel prices, and stagnating wages. There is no ‘cost of living crisis’ – it’s capitalism.

Not a Normal Police Force

As an instrument of British imperialism and partition, the PSNI is beyond reform. It continues to function as an arm of British colonial rule, protecting former RUC personnel and those who colluded with Unionist Death squads. There is nothing normal about the PSNI.

The Fight for Fair Housing

Housing is a human right and the current system, dominated by private developers and the free market, has failed working-class people. We support all empty homes being brought into public ownership, a national home building programme, and housing being firmly placed beyond the reach of the capitalist system.

Community Defence Committees

During the COVID-19 crisis, our Community Defence Committees (CDCs) became a vital part of our response to the pandemic, providing food and care packages and addressing gaps in state provision, ensuring that working-class communities were not left behind during a public health emergency. Solidarity, not charity!
