Lasair Dhearg spokesperson Ciarán O’Brien said that “a few short months ago, our Movement announced the launch of a new supporters network. Clann Lasrach Deirge is intended to provide a home, both in Ireland and internationally, for those who support our growing movement and the demand for a 32 County Irish Socialist Republic.”

“Clann, though only a number of weeks old, now has a small but global membership, from North America, Ireland, Sweden, Australia, England and Scotland. Our eventual goal is to have full and functioning branches in those areas and more. To build not just support and global awareness of Ireland’s struggle for freedom, but a genuine international anti-imperialist movement with activism as a core component.”

“We send our gratitude and support to comrades in Scotland, who in the next number of months will be working to develop a more established presence there. The links between our two nations and our combined history in struggle speaks for itself. Ireland’s fight for freedom, without the unwavering support of our comrades in Scotland over many generations, would have been significantly hampered; for this we are forever indebted.

“If you live in Scotland or indeed elsewhere, and support the fight for Irish national liberation, join our supporters network, visit our website, contact our members, or get in touch with our social media pages – the amount of time and support you give, is entirely up to you.”
