Lasair Dhearg Vice Chaiperson Pádraic MacCoitir, a former Blanketman and Republican ex-Prisoner, will appear in court in the coming weeks to face allegations of criminal damage.
These allegations relate to an action organised by Lasair Dhearg two years ago, which targeted the BBC building in Belfast during the ongoing genocide in Palestine, and which aimed to highlight the BBC’s complicity in genocide in Gaza through their deliberate under-reporting, and their ignorance to their fellow journalists who had been systematically murdered by the Zionist regime for reporting the truth about the Palestinian genocide – a genocide which the BBC chose to ignore.
