Today, we grieve the loss of a once-in-a-lifetime revolutionary Marxist philosopher and intellectual comrade, Michael Parenti. One of the few scholars to articulate the realities of modern society through a genuine Marxist analysis – unflinching and uncompromised by liberal utopias or Western myths and lies. His work exposed the grip of empire, power and inequality, and spoke with clarity to liberation struggles across the world, including Ireland’s ongoing fight for a truly just and democratic society, which he referenced and defended throughout his writings.
